WHAT WILL WE SEE - WHAT WILL WE HEAR - WHAT WILL WE KNOW - HOW WILL WE REVEL?
Programa

This year‘s sports programme is vast and diverse like never before. Besides traditional sport competitions of Juodaragis, this year, we are also joined by the Lithuanian Ethnosport Committee with games and educations that still recall the times of Vytautas the Great. There will be activities not only for adults, but for children too.

We will invite you to toss Ripka, to grapple in wrestling, challenge yourself in stick-pulling tournament, and to discover games unheard of – Muštukas or Kyla. There will be many entertaining games with lessons, history, and lectures before the games start.

The Saturday football tournament, the rules as is the custom – five against five, two rounds 10 minutes each, and the final round for 15. The referee, as usual, is always right. Gather your team to win the MJR XXII Horn! The registration to the tournament starts on Thursday morning in the Info Centre.

The orientation sports competition for men and women. Everybody takes off at the same time, and will not only have to collect the marking points, but also solve various puzzles and complete bizarre tasks. You won’t be bored, that’s for sure.

The archery tournaments will bring some surprises this year – besides the traditional adult and children archery tournaments, the hunt for boars will also be taking place for the first time. It is likely to be a rather unusual, but a truly heated shoot.

The chess tournaments have gathered many players last year, so this year we expect to see you at the big outside chess figures and the chess tables. We will play throughout all the days until we grow tired.

Log wrestling is an incredibly vigorous game that gathers many participants and observers. An event of astounding photographs and strong emotions that requires masculine strength and recklessness. The goal of the game is to grab the log that is thrown by
the referee into the middle of the square and to carry it to the opponents’ end of the square. Two teams of ten people each are put against each other. It’s a fascinating and passionate view that can easily turn a game into a fun wrestling match. Wrestle the log!
