ĒNU KALEIDOSKOPS

(Latvia)

Shadow Kaleidoscope from Riga is probably the most neo-folk’ish band in the Baltic States. Their elegiac, mysterious music has been a constant companion on the MJR journey. Their creative spark ignited in 2004 in Kaunas, Lituania, where vocalist Mārtiņš penned the band’s initial songs during his studies. Since then, they’ve released four albums, deeply infused by Nature and self-invented fairytales, drawing inspiration from both Latvian and other folklore traditions.
